Playing for Philharmonie
380 amateur musicians and chorists, all Societe Generale staff members from France, Romania and Senegal, will perform alongside professional musicians of the "Les Siècles" orchestra and will be joined by a group of children from the Démos project, which aims to open up classical music to young children and is also supported by Societe Generale. For this fourth Playing for Philharmonie, three concerts are scheduled, one of which is included in the annual programme of the Paris Philharmonie and so open for the first time to the general public. This great collective adventure was made possible thanks to the strength of the relationship between Societe Generale and its two partners, the "Les Siècles"orchestra and the Philharmonie of Paris.
Societe Generale has been deeply invested in arts patronage for more than 20 years. The contemporary art collection (photography, paintings, sculptures, lithography, etc.), materialises the Group's support of artistic creation in France and abroad. The development of the Collection went hand in hand with a desire to share contemporary art with the wider public, especially children. Guided tours, educational workshops, artistic projects and a growing visibility on social media have contributed to the sustainability of this commitment.
Citizen Commitment Time 2019
We put our commitment to solidarity into practice through the initiatives of the Corporate Foundation for Solidarity, created in 2006. To better meet the needs of the beneficiaries, Societe Generale's solidarity groups also support local professional insertion associations. The Foundation reinforces the involvement of these groups, especially in Brazil, Morocco and the United Kingdom.
