Societe Generale Foundation: 115 projects for education, culture and the environment
Thousands of young people supported, nearly 500 artists supported and 11,500 employees engaged worldwide: the 2025 activity report of Societe Generale Foundation presents a year of concrete actions in support of education, culture and the environment. As part of a 2024-2028 mandate, this philanthropic strategy is based on collective mobilization serving the public interest.
Societe Generale Foundation: a 2024-2028 mandate with EUR 55 million in funding
Renewed in 2024 for five years and with EUR 55 million in funding through 2028, Societe Generale Foundation focuses its action on three priorities: education, culture and the environment. In 2025, it supported 115 projects, more than half of which were dedicated to the education of the most vulnerable young people.
Its model is based on a mechanism combining financing, skills-based sponsorship, strategic support and impact measurement in order to sustainably strengthen its partners’ capacity for action.
Societe Generale: 11,500 employees mobilized to support nonprofit organizations
Employee engagement is a central driver of Societe Generale Foundation’s action. In 2025, 11,500 employees mobilized, representing more than 14,300 days dedicated to nonprofit organizations.
This mobilization takes several forms: mentoring, solidarity days, skills-based sponsorship, fundraising or project support. The mechanism is simple: transforming professional skills into operational support to meet the concrete needs of nonprofit organizations.
This approach is reflected in the testimony of Paola Sudaro, who is engaged with CRESUS, “I feel that I am doing something concrete and useful, and making a contribution on the ground.”
Education: 73 projects supported to assist young people
With 73 projects supported in 2025, education remains Societe Generale Foundation’s primary area of intervention. The objective is to support young people throughout their journey, from acquiring fundamental knowledge through to entering the workforce.
The actions supported include, in particular, combating school dropout, financial education, career guidance, access to digital and ecological transition professions, as well as sports and artistic activities, artificial intelligence, media literacy and mental health.
The mechanism is based on cooperation between nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, engaged employees and field stakeholders. The Coup de pouce nonprofit organization illustrates this approach. As its Chief Executive Officer, Cecile Andre, notes: “The objective is to bring together around the child all the adults capable of providing a safe and positive learning environment.”
This vision is also championed by the Choix de l’Ecole nonprofit organization. Its Managing Director, Jocelyn Rigault, emphasizes: “We must rely on one another in this educational chain.”
Culture: nearly 500 artists supported in 2025
For nearly forty years, Societe Generale Foundation has supported classical music and young talent. In 2025, nearly 500 artists benefited from its support, 65% more than in 2024.
Academie Ravel, Academie Diotima, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, CNSMD de Paris and CNSMD de Lyon, as well as Insula Camerata, contribute to the professional integration of young musicians, while partnerships with Philharmonie de Paris and the Musee d’Orsay and Musee de l’Orangerie promote access to culture.
Environment: taking action for biodiversity and the oceans
As the third focus of the 2024-2028 mandate, the environment continues to develop within Societe Generale Foundation. The initiatives supported concern biodiversity, the oceans and natural resources, particularly through a partnership with The Ocean Cleanup.
These projects combine ecosystem preservation and awareness-raising among younger generations, with the objective of linking the protection of living systems and knowledge transfer.

The 2025 activity report highlights an action model based on the complementarity between financial support, employee engagement and partnerships with nonprofit organizations. The 115 projects supported, the 11,500 employees mobilized, the 73 educational projects, the 500 artists supported and the actions dedicated to biodiversity illustrate the same ambition: to sustainably strengthen the impact of public-interest initiatives through cooperation among all stakeholders involved.
