Established in 2019, the Grand Prize for Philanthropy* recognises the most virtuous, relevant, and impactful philanthropic initiatives led by committed companies. The Societe Generale Foundation won in the Education & Youth category.
"This Grand Prize highlights our long-standing commitment to an essential area: education, and more specifically, education for the most vulnerable young people. It is truly at the heart of our Foundation’s mission, alongside culture and environment," says Albane Rouvillois, Societe Generale Foundation’s Delegate.
Serving education and inclusion
With an annual budget of €11 million, over 50% of which is dedicated to education, the Societe Generale Foundation’s efforts are focused on four priorities:
- Acquisition of fundamental knowledge;
- Financial education;
- Education through sports and artistic practice;
- Professional integration into careers related to digital and/or ecological transition.
In 2025, the Foundation supported nearly 70 education and professional integration projects, both in France and internationally.
Beyond financial support, the non-financial assistance offered to partners plays a key role including networking within the Societe Generale ecosystem and skills-based sponsorship.
"We do not act alone: this award belongs to an entire ecosystem — the Foundation team, Group employees who volunteer their time alongside our partners, our governance, and of course, our non-profit partners working on the ground", Albane Rouvillois emphasizes.
Acting together for the future of young people
The Foundation has also formed partnerships to address major societal issues affecting young people, and offers these to all its partners:
- Support for the “Mental Health Fresco” to raise awareness of mental health challenges;
- Assistance for « Lumières sur l’Info » pto promote media literacy;
- Support for the « IA for Good » programme, which is dedicated to digital transformation and artificial intelligence;
- Backing for the « Dilemme » programme, which promotes financial education;
- Partnership with Stimultania to develop an environmental module called « Les mots du clic ».
A commitment shared by Group employees
Employees play a key role. Every year, they dedicate their energy to the Group’s philanthropic initiatives, whether through the annual sports and solidarity challenge Move For The Oceans, or through individual or collective skills-based sponsorship missions**. Thanks to them, partnerships in local communities thrive every day.
