They learn, they doubt, they dare. JaneMegan Picone, Structured Finance Officer and ACCELERATE program participant, and Morgane Peng, Head of UX & Product Design in London and LEAD program participant, are each carving out their own unique paths, guided by curiosity and boldness.

On International Women’s Day, they join forces to remind us of a fundamental truth: collective strength amplifies individual ambition and accelerates transformation. Their journeys reveal a strong conviction: when everyone has a space to share, learn, and envision their future, the entire organization moves forward.

When the collective reveals potential: Jane’s perspective

When she joined the ACCELERATE program in 2024, Jane was primarily seeking a space to share with peers. She found much more: “This experience empowered and inspired me. The discussions were insightful. I learned that every challenge is an opportunity to grow and build connections.”

This one year program combines group coaching, individual support and mentoring to encourage progression towards leadership roles by fostering a supportive community of women leaders.

In this benevolent environment, Jane refined her ambitions and strengthened her confidence: “The program helped me recognize the value of my journey. We all have doubts and challenges. By sharing them, we can move forward.”

One of her major challenges was proving her credibility as a woman in her field. Today, she fully embraces her legitimacy: “You have to claim your place, believe in yourself, and keep moving.”

What is her superpower? Orchestration. “I’m the one who gets things started and maintains a project’s rhythm.”

Forging her own path: Morgane’s vision

Morgane joined LEAD, a program designed for high potential senior leaders which was a defining experience: “LEAD helped me to reflect on my leadership style and how to adapt to complex situations, especially in a rapidly changing technological environment.”

Stepping away from traditional hierarchical norms, the program emphasizes authentic exchange: “It’s refreshing to get to know people beyond their job titles and corporate titles.”

Her multidisciplinary background in structured products, electronic trading project management, design, tech and AI driven transformation reflects her curiosity. “Thinking in systems, connecting the dots across silos, and understanding people’s needs is a super power, and maybe my superpower.”

She also mentions an unconscious obstacle: representation. “When I received my first public speaking offer, I almost declined as I wasn’t seeing myself as a public speaker. Today, I understand why representation matters for better conversations and to inspire others.”

The collective as a catalyst for transformation

ACCELERATE and LEAD share a common goal of building learning communities; spaces where people can express their questions, ambitions, and experiences.

Jane views this as a form of active solidarity: “Co-development creates a powerful, energizing dynamic.”

Morgane says that “LEAD offers a safe space to share ideas beyond day to day flow. This is how we build a more open, less siloed management culture”.

Two journeys, one belief: To dare is to grow

For young women starting their careers, their advice converges.

Jane emphasizes: “There is always a solution, you have to believe it.” For Morgane, graduation marks the beginning of a wider and more uncertain horizon. Her message is: “Embrace the discomfort of the unknown. Careers are rarely linear; they’re built through curiosity and opportunity.”

Through these voices, Societe Generale reaffirms its strong belief that developing female talent means creating the conditions that allow every woman to find and take her rightful place.
