Since 1992, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is held on 3 December worldwide. This day aims to promote the rights and well-being of people with disabilities. It also raises awareness about their situation in all walks of society.

Since 2007, Societe Generale has been actively supporting the employment of people with disabilities. The Bank has just signed a new agreement for 2026-2028. An entire team is involved in this effort – Mission Handicap, occupational doctors, social workers and local disability representatives. They provide support based on practical measures.

The new agreement notably includes specific leave allowances to help with administrative or medical appointments. It also offers support for parents of children with disabilities. There is help with some health costs and aids for equipment to improve accessibility and independence at work.

These measures strengthen a strong belief: having a disability does not prevent integration or career progress, as long as it is recognised and supported.

A collective effort

The Group’s commitment to disability is shown through its many actions in France and abroad marking the 29th European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities (17 to 23 November 2025).

This year again, various awareness-raising activities are organised for the Group’s employees: workshops, meetings, games, conferences, etc.
