Katowice banks: a joint methodology to help align credit portfolios with the goals of the Paris Agreement
International banks BBVA, BNP Paribas, ING, Société Générale and Standard Chartered have published a report on the application of the PACTA methodology, designed to steer their credit portfolios towards the objective of the Paris Climate Agreement. This report aims at helping banking peers to quickly understand and apply this methodology and thus publish comparable results.
Hydroelectric power plants and wind farms continue to grow thanks to green bonds
Ecoener, a Spanish energy generation company, successfully issued a €130 million green bond to refinance wind and hydroelectric projects in the Canary Islands and Galicia. The deal, the first mixed green bond issued by a Spanish company, gives Ecoener a stable and flexible capital structure to undertake future growth initiatives from a position of strength.

Societe Generale supports the IFRC in Africa
As part of World Solidarity Programme that Societe Generale launched in May, the Group made a donation of €1 million to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) to support actions in Benin, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guinea, Mauritania, Mozambique and Togo.
Through this donation, the IFRC will be able to lead actions in terms of prevention, fighting against the spread and fighting against the socio-economic impact due to the Covid19 pandemic.
