Leopoldo Alvear is Group Chief Financial Officer and member of the Group Executive Committee since January 2025. Prior to joining Societe Generale, he was, since 2021, the General Manager and Chief Financial Officer of Banco Sabadell (Spain). 

Previously, Leopoldo spent 11 years at Bankia (Spain), where he successively held the positions of first Head of Financial Management & Rating, and then, since 2012 Group CFO. He began his career at PWC in Corporate Finance before joining Caja Madrid as Head of Equity Capital Markets.

Leopoldo Alvear is a graduate of the Complutense University of Madrid.
