Biography
A French national, Jérôme Contamine is a graduate of France’s École Polytechnique, ENSAE and École Nationale d’Administration. After spending four years as an auditor at the Cour des Comptes (the head body for auditing the use of public funds in France), he held various operating positions at Total. From 2000 to 2009, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Veolia Environnement. From 2009 until 2018, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Sanofi. From 2006 to 2017, he served as Director of Valeo then from 2020 to May 2023, he served as Director of Total Energies. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Galapagos NV.
