Societe Generale increases its commitment to biodiversity

Contributing to the preservation of biodiversity is fully in line with our action in favour of the environmental transition, one of the four strategic axes of our CSR commitments. As a responsible economic actor, Societe Generale has a collective approach, with proactive commitments, the ability to support our clients in their actions and raise awareness among our stakeholders about the issues related to the preservation and restoration of biodiversity.

Societe Generale, a member of the Act4Nature alliance, has just made 18 new commitments in favour of biodiversity: They concern risk management (sectoral policies, exclusions, protected areas), relations with our clients, partnerships (evaluation, dialogue, innovation, our active participation in international shared framework initiatives such as the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures, the Science-Based Targets Network Corporate Program or the Finance for Biodiversity Pledge) as well as our own operations (governance, training, responsible purchasing).
With determination, but also with humility in the face of the challenges of preserving nature, Societe Generale group is implementing these strengthened commitments to biodiversity, alongside the numerous deployments in favour of the climate.
