24 I SOCIETE GENERALE 2014-2015 PARTNERSHIP JAGUAR LAND ROVER GOING THE EXTRA MILE TO ADD VALUE FOR OUR CLIENTS The partnership between Jaguar Land Rover and Societe Generale began in 2013. Since then, the Bank’s teams in the UK and India, where Jaguar Land Rover’s parent group Tata is based, have worked together closely to support Jaguar Land Rover as it successfully expands its business around the world. A broad and trusted relationship has developed in a relatively short time, with Jaguar Land Rover appreciating Societe Generale’s clientfocused and proactive approach, notably in understanding the automobile business and the company’s specific needs from an international banking partner. Societe Generale now participates in a wide range of Jaguar Land Rover’s financial requirements, including revolving credit facilities and debt issuances as well as foreign exchange and commodity hedging, and cash investment activities. “Our client’s requirements are the starting point of all our work with Jaguar Land Rover. We take time to think about the strategy and goals of the company and how we can contribute to their continued success,” explains Jon Eltringham, Managing Director at Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking UK, who manages the relationship with Jaguar Land Rover. “It’s important that we ensure a coordinated approach by all the departments of the Bank,” continues Jon, “it’s about quality rather than quantity and we aim to differentiate our service by bringing tailored ideas rather than off the shelf products.” After such a promising start, the two companies are confident of continuing to find new and interesting areas for further cooperation in the future. “IT’S IMPORTANT THAT WE ENSURE A COORDINATED APPROACH BY ALL THE DEPARTMENTS OF THE BANK, IT’S ABOUT QUALITY RATHER THAN QUANTITY” Jon Eltringham, Managing Director, Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking UK www.jaguarlandrover.com RELATIONSHIP BANKING IN THE DIGITAL AGE
