100 students innovate in Bangalore

On 8 and 9 November, Societe Generale held its first hackathon in Bangalore to reinvent bank branches.

For two days, 100 students from 20 Indian universities took up the challenge to "Build an office without boundaries for the digital bank of tomorrow". They worked tirelessly to develop innovative applications with the support of 25 mentors from the Bank.

The outcome? A panel of experts selected 16 of the best applications chosen for the user experience, the level of completion and their originality. These solutions were presented to the jury, which selected the three best teams from the universities and a team from Societe Generale.

The hackathon confirmed the benefits of drawing on collective intelligence to reinvent our business.
