The Sourcing Division has deployed an e-Sourcing tool called Tool@chats in France and in international locations to process its sourcing projects online.

Tool@chats accelerates the processing of sourcing projects and makes it possible to standardise the interactions between the Sourcing Division, Société Générale Group internal prescribers, suppliers and the legal teams. It allows for standardisation and dematerialisation of the management of requests for proposals.

Tool@chats contributes to professionalising the process for all the stakeholders: provides transparency and real time visibility on projects and proposals, traceability of interactions between the parties; the responses to the requests for proposals are analysed on the basis of pre-set criteria.

It also enables the selected suppliers to take part in a reverse auction and submit their best proposal in real time and complete fairness.

The 3 golden rules of the buyers and the Sourcing division

Three golden rules that serve a threefold ambition: Be open and transparent; Innovate in service; Be efficient in terms of productivity and yield.

1- Neutrality : Select suitable solutions to meet the Group’s functional and technical requirements through a process that guarantees objectivity, fairness and transparency

2- Responsibility : Include the CSR dimension (Corporate Social Responsibility) in the operational and professional management of Sourcing

3- Efficiency : Contribute to improve the operational performance of the Group by seeking innovating, quality and cost-effective solutions with suppliers.
