Our Internet Charter

1/ A bank that listens to you

Dialogue and transparency are important to us, and that is why Societe Generale gives you the opportunity to comment on our Insight webzine articles and our SGeneration blog.
Your opinion matters to us, so we invite you to tell us what you think, ask questions, and share your thoughts on the many issues involved in our business, the bank, and current events.
You don’t have to be a Societe Generale customer to take part in this dialogue.
Private individuals, professionals, investors, students, journalists… everyone is invited to participate.

2/ How to leave comments

Did you find an article particularly interesting, or do you have a question or want to share your thoughts?
It’s easy: Just click on the “comment” button under each article.
A form will open, asking you to provide your first and last name and your email address.
Type your comment in the field provided and click send.
Once your comment has been reviewed, it will be published directly on the site.

Please know that your personal information is not stored for commercial purposes. For more information, please see our legal section.

3/ A few tips for submitting comments

To help productive, high-quality exchanges, ensure you explain your point of view and develop your ideas.

Discussion also means knowing how to listen: differing opinions are a natural part of an online discussion. Please respect the opinions and contributions of every participant.
To make your comments easy to read, please do not type your text in all capital letters, in phonetic shorthand, or in SMS-style writing.
Please do not copy-paste from previous posts.
Double letters, typos, and spelling errors can detract from your comments; we suggest you take the time to carefully read again your entry before sending it for posting.

4/ Moderation

The comments published on the societegenerale.com site are the responsibility of the author who posted them.
Société Générale reserves the right to delete all comments containing illegal suggestions; vulgar, injurious, obscene, or violent verbiage; or which are racist or anti-Semitic in nature. Violence toward persons or entities, all attacks on human dignity, including those that are sexual in nature or resembling child pornography in any way, are strictly prohibited.

Societe Generale, the Group’s entities, and the moderator cannot be held responsible for the comments and opinions submitted by the author(s).
If the moderator chooses to delete or refuse to post a comment, Société Générale guarantees that it will inform the author of that comment of this decision and the reasons for the decision.
