The Foundation is involved in several nationwide partnerships. Through this partnership, the Foundation has pledged its commitment to long term projects reaching a wide public. It also gives it employees a chance to get involved in solidarity projects.

In the domain of literacy, the Foundation is supporting 100 Red Cross volunteers as well as supporting half of the Secours Populaire's basic skills workshops.

In terms of access to employment, the partnership with “Solidarités Nouvelles face au Chômage” has resulted in two job seekers’ support groups being created within Société Générale.

On the international level, the Foundation is supporting 3 large scale projects for a period of three years.

Tissons la Solidarité

Solidarity and clothing recycling

Using clothing to fight social exclusion

Created in 2004 by the Secours Catholique, the "Tissons la Solidarité" association brings together 55 social integration organisations through a clothing recycling project. The Foundation is helping these structures to become more professional. To celebrate its second anniversary, the Fondation invited some of the women to present their work in a fashion show that was held at Société Générale's headquarters in La Défense. "This fashion parade gave another dimension to our work".

Helping 15.000 people with literacy problems

The Cœurs à Lire network brings together 150 associations working in the areas of educational support and the fight against illiteracy. With support from the Foundation, Cœurs à Lire has been able to develop training courses and communication methods which are delivered throughout its network.

CARE

Exclusion and schooling of children

3 integration projects

Our partnership with CARE is being developed on three continents (Asia, Africa and South America). The aim of each project is to fight against exclusion be improving children`s access to education and providing their parents with vocational training. For example, the project in Bangladesh will make it easier for children working in factories to go school by training the parents to carry out income-generating activities.
