CITIZEN COMMITMENT
Our initiatives
Consistent with its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Societe Generale supports a broad range of projects and initiatives designed to ensure a more socially-inclusive world in France and abroad.
Societe Generale is convinced that it has a major role to play in society, and that the nature of its business puts it firmly at the heart of economic and social progress. As a result, the Group is permanently involved in socially-inclusive initiatives.
The Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity, set up in 2006, works to improve the employment prospects and literacy of young people. It supports both national and local projects.
Every year, many of the bank’s international companies and teams also undertake a range of local initiatives in support of similar projects in their own countries.
Societe Generale also supports Talents & Partage. Set up and operated by the Group’s current and retired employees, this charitable association provides support for projects targeting disadvantaged children, education and training, disability and healthcare issues all over the world.
Similarly, a national agreement signed with the Association pour le droit à l’initiative économique (ADIE), the largest dedicated microcredit operator in Western Europe, reflects Societe Generale’s commitment to the principle and practice of microcredit.
Via its Conciliance service, the Group also offers its customers the opportunity to pay all or part of the return on their SICAV (open-ended collective investment scheme) savings to around thirty different charities.
