R
- Risk premium »
- extra profitability expected from shares compared with the profitability of a risk-free investment. The determination of this premium enables a shareholder to decide whether he should rather invest in shares or in bonds. The risk premium on a given share depends on the expected profit growth rate of the issuer and on interest rates.
