Solidarity week at Société Générale

By Vetcherkovskaya Yana | Writor/Editor | 10/06/10

Following on from the enormous success of last year’s Citizen Commitment Week, Société Générale has decided to hold the CCW once again this year. From 10 to 18 June 2010, Group employees will give one or more hours of their time, make a donation, take part in collecting objects or attend a solidarity conference.

Citizen Commitment Week

This year, the challenge is to achieve even more via a number of small gestures that we hope will make all the difference. To do this, Group entities around the world are organising a variety of events: a race to promote sport for disabled people in La Défense, Paris, donating blood to sick children in Russia, a toy fair in a Santiago favela in Brazil, an outing for orphans in Macedonia and many other humanitarian initiatives that aim to help those in need. These initiatives are taking place in 37 countries.

The www.citizencommitmentweek.com website has been developed to help colleagues find an initiative that is close to their hearts. A Facebook community has also been set up so that participants can swap stories!
