Allez les Bleus !

By Christophe Pagliai  |  Branch Manager  | 24/11/09

Following two convincing test match performances where the French team showed courage, commitment, determination and intelligence, I am impatient to watch Saturday’s clash with the legendary All Blacks in Marseille.

I’ll be there to look after clients, as Societe Generale, partner of rugby, enables us to share such moments, such top-level matches, with our clients.

The last time I went to a match with my clients was back in June, for the final of the Top 14 French championship. Such days are really special... The atmosphere in the stadium, the rugby spirit, the friendliness of the event, the respect and the entertainment all enable us to share a great time. We’re no longer bankers and clients, just people with our emotions and thrills. We chat and go through the whole range of emotions together until the final whistle. Those who know this sport well explain various rules and referees’ decisions to newcomers. And then, of course, it’s time for the post-match get-together, where we all chat about this and that over a few drinks, a great – and occasionally rather late-ending – end to a fun and friendly day.

I’m very pleased that my company is a partner of rugby because, beyond the sporting aspect itself, we are partners of all of these healthy and fundamental values that this sport embodies.

So on Saturday I’ll be able to take my clients down to the Mediterranean coast to share another great moment; the kind I enjoy so much... and whilst I await my first ever live Haka, it’s goodbye and Allez les Bleus from me. See you again soon.
