>> Q1 2010 results
Group net income totalled EUR 1.06 billion and reflects:
- the commercial dynamism of retail banking activities and the quality of Corporate and Investment Banking’s customer franchises,
- the gradual recovery in the profitability of Specialised Financing activities,
- signs of improvement in the cost of risk even though it remains high.
>> 2010 General Meeting of Shareholders
A review of the main outcomes on the AGM which was held on 25 May.
- 1,027 shareholders attended the meeting held by Societe Generale on 25 May 2010 at La Défense (near Paris).
- Quorum was established at 50.988% (53.53% in 2009).
- All the resolutions submitted by the Board of Directors were approved.
- The 2009 financial statements and dividend payment of 0.25 euro were approved. A scrip issue was authorized for the payment of the dividend (price: 34.29 euros).
- Two Directors’ mandates were renewed: Robert Castaigne and Gianemilio Osculati.

Societe Generale Private Banking is to work closely with Komercní Banka, part of Societe Generale Group, to provide investment solutions to high net worth individuals and families in the Czech Republic.

>> Appointments within the communication teams of Societe Generale
Societe Generale announces the appointment of Laetitia Maurel as Head of Group Media Relations. She will have for mission to develop and coordinate the press relations of the whole Societe Generale Group in order to strengthen the image of the bank and accompany its new positioning within the framework of its transformation process.
Replacing Laetitia Maurel, Melody Jeannin is appointed Global Head of Communication, Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking.

Work-study programmes are a major part of our HR policy in favour of the professional integration of young people. They are also consistent with the government target of getting 1 young person in 5 into a programme by 2015.
