>> Societe Generale Launches China Union Pay Card Acceptance Service in France
Societe Generale announced that it has signed an agreement with China Union Pay (CUP) which allows CUP cardholders to use their cards in ATMs that are part of the Societe Generale domestic network in France, Monaco and La Réunion. The agreement, which covers up to 3,000 branches in France, marks an important step in international cooperation between Societe Generale and CUP.

To give young people with little or no qualifications, and often from disadvantaged areas, a chance: that’s the aim of “Coup de pouce pour l’insertion”. Even though hiring is traditionally based on a university degree, Societe Generale has instigated a specific qualifying course in the Lyon region.

Since 5 February 2010, a solar-powered generator connected to the network has been providing energy to the headquarters of SGBB, Societe Generale’s subsidiary in Burkina Faso. It was officially inaugurated on 16 April in the presence of Burkina Faso Government representatives.
